Terms of Service

1. The service
Christian Translator (“we”, “us”) provides the Christian Translator Studio desktop application and the christiantranslator.com website (together, the “Service”): tools that transcribe sermon audio and video, translate subtitles with Christian terminology, and export subtitled files. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use translation and cloud transcription. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address and be at least 16 years old.
3. Credits and payment
Translation is metered in minutes: one credit-minute covers one minute of translated video. New accounts receive free trial minutes. Additional minutes are sold as one-time packs (which do not expire) or monthly subscriptions (unused subscription minutes roll over up to twice the monthly allowance). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice — changes never affect minutes you already hold. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.
4. Your content
Your sermons, videos, transcripts, and translations remain yours. You grant us only the rights needed to operate the Service: processing your audio and text through our transcription and translation providers, and storing your corrections to improve your own future translations. We do not sell your content or use it to train public models. You are responsible for having the rights to the media you process.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to process unlawful content, infringe others’ rights, probe or disrupt our systems, resell the Service, or circumvent metering. We may suspend accounts that do.
6. Bible text
Where the Service recognizes quoted Scripture it renders verses in the wording churches recognize for the target language. Bible translations remain the property of their respective rights holders; verify quotations before publishing where your use requires it.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. Automatic transcription and translation can contain errors — review output before publishing. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Changes and termination
We may update the Service and these terms; material changes will be announced on the site or by email. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. Purchased pack minutes remain usable for as long as the Service operates.
